VINEYARD WORSHIP ARTS

Worship is simply the way we live as a response to God’s love.

OUR VISION:  To create spaces where people can encounter God through
                        music, art, and liturgy.

OUR GOAL:  To be transformed during this worship, into Disciples of Jesus, learning
to hear the Holy Spirit speak to us, learning to receive from and give to
God, and to practice what it means to actually “BE” the church in a life-giving
way, rather than simply “going” to church.

WE VALUE:  Intimacy and authenticity in our musical and artistic worship, but we also
value accessibility so that our whole congregation can experience God’s
presence together.  We like to sing songs “with” and “to” God, rather than
just singing “about” God, however, we think all forms of expression that
                     honor God are important.

Regular Worship Events

First Fridays at
Main Street Bistro
Each First Friday of the month, downtown Silverton hosts open shops and live music as a community, family friendly event. Join our worship team as we bring worship into our community, creating space for people to meet with God, 6:30pm-8:00pm at Main Street Bistro.

Worship Circle

Each time a month has a fifth weekend service, we change our format as a worship team. On these specific days, we invite everyone to bring their instruments from home, bring an art medium, and participate by volunteering to read scripture or share a thought.
If you would like to participate, please contact us ahead of time, and come to our practice at 4:00pm. Please do not bring instruments that would be more distracting than helpful, like loud tambourines or trumpets. We want to include everyone, but louder instruments may need a longer practice time than we have allotted.

Special Services

We have regularly scheduled services that create experiential spaces for people to experience God. Some of these include:

Good Friday Service: An experiential worship experience involving prayer stations that are family friendly, in a come and go as you please environment.

Christmas Eve Service: A Candlelight service highlighting the end of our Advent series each year, including caroling, worship arts, the lighting of candles, and usually a song by our children.

Worship Night: A one to two hour musical journey with God.
